Our team competes in the Mideast Division of the United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA) against other club and varsity teams from New York State. The schools we compete with include Alfred University, Binghamton University, Colgate University, Cornell University, Hamilton College, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Ithaca College, Rochester Institute of Technology, SUNY Geneseo, Skidmore College, Syracuse University, and University of Rochester.
During the regular season we compete in 5 race weekends, each weekend having one Giant Slalom and one Slalom race. They are typically hosted at Bristol Mountain, Greek Peak, Labrador Mountain, and West Mountain. For away races we leave from campus Friday afternoon and stay in a hotel together as a team during the weekend. The first race is typically during the 3rd weekend in January, and afterwards there is one race per weekend.
Regional Championships take place the weekend after the last race of the regular season. The top 5 men and women from the team have the opportunity to race at regionals and potentially qualify for National Championships in early March. Recently, our men’s team qualified for Nationals in 2022 and 2023.
